Biography —
Alex Bardas is an Associate Professor and Gary Minden Scholar in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) and the Institute for Information Sciences (I2S) at the University of Kansas. His research focuses on cybersecurity, with an emphasis on advancing the security and resilience of modern computing systems.
Dr. Bardas earned dual undergraduate degrees in Informatics and International Relations (Business Administration) from the Romanian-American University. He received his M.S. in Computer Science from James Madison University and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Kansas State University. He is the recipient of the prestigious National Science Foundation CAREER Award, and his research is supported by multiple external funding agencies.
