Biography —
Kevin Higgins is entering his tenth season with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2026, currently serving as Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Security Officer - a role he’s held since his promotion in September 2021. Reporting to the club’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Higgins first joined the organization in 2017 as Director of Information Technology, later expanding his responsibilities to include Club Information Security Officer in 2019.
In his current position, Higgins oversees all aspects of technology operations, management, and security for both the Chiefs and Hunt Midwest. His team is responsible for device and network security, product management, software development, and help desk support.
Before joining the Chiefs, Higgins held several director and executive roles in IT, focusing on data-driven solutions for diverse business needs. His previous experience includes serving as Chief Technology Officer at Ad Astra Information Systems (2015–2017), IT Director for the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (2013–2015), and Director of E-Commerce and Marketing Solutions at Collective Brands, Inc. (2007–2013).
Higgins holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Kennesaw State University and is set to complete a Juris Masters in Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Technology Risk Management from Florida State University in 2026. He is married and has three children.
